Inferno, 80s disco
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Once Upon a Time, I used to think that the art in video games consisted in telling stories. Storytelling was for me synonymous with games that should be considered as pieces of art.
However, when I started programming and developing video games, I realized that technicality is important too, and is sometimes even more important than storytelling! That's why I started improving my game mechanics, and today I'm presenting this demo to you, a demo that offers:
-A fair level of challenge
-Nostalgic nods to classic arcade games
-Time freezing mechanic
-Random enemies generation
-A unique combat system with a single bar representing both health and energy
The primary objective of this demo is to test and improve this innovative combat system in the future.
Enjoy!

I’m here thanks to your GMTK submission. I didn’t rate it because it is not a game from the jam and the one on your page “Join’em” isn’t downloadable.
But I really enjoy Inferno ! It is smooth and visuals effects are great.
